Downtown Peabody features shops, salons, a thriving restaurant scene, and a public library that offers high-quality programs for adults and kids. The city received a $1.25 million grant in 2008 that has helped draw 17 new businesses downtown in only two years--no mean feat.
Unfortunately, many people consider Main Street a corridor to Salem, not realizing the great options they're driving past.
